Microsoft Dynamics AX Developer

The Microsoft Dynamics AX Developer will manage the development of the sgsco, MS Dynamics 2012 R2 ERP system. The AX Developer will interpret functional and business requirements to design and develop customizations, provide enhancements and production support through implementation best practices. The AX Developer will also support the efforts of the Enterprise data team in reporting and analytics, and will work closely with the change and release management teams for delivering quality software necessary for business operations. The AX Developer will also have the role of coaching junior developers as well as DevOps personnel in best practices, configuration, and writing X++ code and other coding practices. This is a direct hire opportunity in Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities Include:
Ensure that AX software meets business requirements and goals, fulfills user requirements, and identifies and resolves any systems issues.
Participate in the AX change management process across the organization, while fulfilling SOX requirements.
Identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations and implement changes.
Collaborate with in-house technical, functional, and end user team members, as well as third-party vendors
Complete technical design documents (TDD) and code applications per requirements captured in the functional design documents (FDD).
Evaluate, configure, and develop AX applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing AX applications for the enterprise.
Collaborate with analysts, and system owners in the testing of AX software programs and applications.
Ensure that any AX integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
Provide Level 1 guidance/coaching to Help Desk team in support of AX operations.
Provide Level 2 enterprise support of AX operations.
Liaise with network administrators, Dev-Ops, and database administrators to assist with implementation considerations.
Work with project managers, business analysts, end users, and the development team to identify and implement innovative solutions to business challenges.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or information systems
At least 5 years direct proven experience implementing Dynamics AX configuration and code
Solid Windows OS skills and Microsoft SQL database experience
Knowledge of enterprise-level applications, including ERP, data warehouses, etc.
Thorough understanding of application development life cycle and large scale software implementation methodologies
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX full life cycle implementation
Experience with Object Oriented language; In Example: C#, VB.Net, Java, and the .Net Framework.
Technical and functional knowledge of MS Dynamics AX 2012 and supporting Microsoft Technologies including SQL Server, SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, SharePoint, and Visual Studio.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2008/2012 and database design with a deep understanding of the table structure and relationships within Dynamics AX 2012
Working knowledge of Source Control Systems, such as TFS
Proficient with AX workflow and security development techniques and data migration
Experience integrating AX with external systems
Experience in maintaining multiple Dynamics AX environments
Experience in AIF.
