The IT Field Technician will be responsible for traveling to local customer sites to perform technical maintenance on office equipment. The IT Field Technician plays a critical role in the company success and must provide courteous, professional service in a timely manner. As the IT Field Technician must be willing and able to learn new models and technologies by the following methods:
Computer based online training; Instructor led classes; In Field training with senior technicians. Some out of town, overnight travel may be required in this role. This is a direct hire opportunity.
Responsibilities Include:
Perform maintenance on office equipment in a timely and cost effective manner.
Follow Total Call Concept to identify and correct potential problems to decrease customer down time.
Help set up, deliver, and install equipment in customer’s office as directed by service manager.
Maintain a proper and accurate level of parts inventory in your vehicle.
Assist other technicians as requested by service supervisor or manager.
Communicate issues and solutions with customers and other Lang employees.
Maintain and care for company property such as tools, laptop, and phone.
Follow company procedures for dispatching, closing, and documenting service calls.
Follow company procedures on warranty returns.
Keep manuals and bulletins accessible and up to date.
Be willing to work overtime as needed on occasion.
Maintain neat and organized records such as car expense, time off requests, transfer forms.
Requirements:
1+ years of experience in technical equipment maintenance
A valid driver’s license from state of residence
A reliable vehicle with auto insurance
Experience/knowledge of computers and basic networking a plus with the desire to learn
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
Must be able to bend and kneel without issue
