The Desktop Support Analyst/Application Tester will join a Fortune 500 Healthcare company on this project. The contract is through the end of the year with likelihood of extending into 2016.
Responsibilities Include:
Certifications of third party applications
Creating documentation for installation and audit purposes
Documentation of program process and configuration
Analyst is considered 2nd or 3rd level support for applications
Responsible for creating test scripts and completing QA testing for client applications.
Coordinating with various departments to verify the certification process is completed in their areas.
Listen to problems and questions as reported by customers on assigned hardware, software, and systems
Fully document problem symptoms and capture all relevant system and application information within the departmental Call Tracking System
Independently resolve most problems / questions that arise and consult with senior team members or other I/S Development or Technical Staff only on unusual or especially difficult issues
Monitor and follow-up with customers on open issues to ensure that departmental performance objectives, service-level standards, and customer satisfaction goals are achieved
Requirements:
Ability to understand and manipulate msi/exe installs with switches and transforms
Knowledge of networking protocols and how to track application connections
Knowledge of Active Directory
Familiarity with Group Policy
Experience and Ability to understand application integrations with Windows and other applications
Experience in Windows command line installs/uninstalls
Experience with PC Audit software
Experience with ticketing and work tracking systems
Experience with Citrix
Experience with VMWare Workstation
Experience with System Imaging with Symantec Ghost and Windows Deployment Services
Extensive Experience with Windows 2000, XP, 7, and 8.1.
Good Experience with Office 2000, 2003, 2007, 2010, and 2013 including some Visio, Project, and some SharePoint
Strong skill set needed in building test plans and use cases
Involved with a lot of Regression Testing
High level of troubleshooting skills required
Familiar with monthly security patches from Microsoft, Adobe, and Java
