      Brocade Professional IP Administrator (BPIPA 200) Overview:

      Brocade Professional IP Administrator (BPIPA 200) course provides an in-depth study of the Brocade Ethernet Switch/Router family of products and how they are utilized in an enterprise network. It covers core competencies of configuration, operations and maintenance of Brocade IP products including the FCX, ICX and MLX family of devices. Brocade Professional IP Administrator (BPIPA 200) course also covers core L2/L3 protocol configurations including STP family, OSPF, BGP, QoS, and Brocade proprietary protocols and technology including MCT, VRRPe and FDP. Additional topics include the IPv6 protocol and Software Defined Networking (SDN) functions including Openflow, Netconf and Yang.

      • Describe Brocade IP hardware
      • Configure and implement management protocols on Brocade equipment
      • Configure and implement monitoring and reporting features on Brocade equipment including syslogs and sFlow
      • Perform hardware troubleshooting and support functions on Brocade IP devices
      • Perform firmware upgrades on Brocade IP 1u/2u rack and chassis devices
      • Configure, implement, and maintain Layer 2 STP protocols (RSTP, MSTP, PVST)
      • Configure and manage VLANs, Virtual Ethernet routed interfaces, topology groups, and Q-in-Q Configure, deploy and maintain Link Aggregation Groups(LAGS)
      • Describe, configure, and maintain Multi-Chassis Trunking (MCT)
      • Integrate MCT with VRRPe for redundancy
      • Identify PoE-capable Brocade products
      • Configure and manage Brocade switches in a PoE environment
      • Configure, implement, and maintain Layer 3 routing protocols (OSPF and BGP)
      • Discuss BGP4 Neighboring adjacencies and troubleshooting
      • Configure basic BGP peering and route advertising
      • Configure, implement, and maintain QoS on Brocade IP products
      • Configure SDN functions including Openflow and Netconf using Yang on Brocade IP devices
