The Application Development Manager will report to the Vice President of Information Technology of a growing company in the Louisville, KY area. The Application Development Manager will be responsible for managing and directing a team of Software Developers in developing and implementing solutions to meet the needs of the organization. This is a direct hire opportunity located on-site in Louisville, KY.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage a team or teams of Software Engineers in the development, deployment, and support of complex business applications.
Work with customers and senior management to ensure that efforts are prioritized and resources are allocated accordingly.
Evaluates development requests to assess their validity, understand the business need, and provide project estimates.
Works with other IT staff to develop technical specifications based upon functions specs as created.
Follow typical systems development life cycle processes in defining projects and gaining approval. Manages and oversee the daily activities of a team of Software Engineers. Provides technical guidance and serves as a mentor to the team.
Oversees and leads the development of systems using .Net architecture with SQL specifically ASP.Net, Visual Studio 2008/2010, C#, MS SQL 2005/2008.
Requirements:
6 years of analysis, design and development experience in an ASP.Net, Visual Studio 2008/2010, C#, MS SQL Server 2005/2008 environment
2 years of experience in leading complex development efforts as a Manager or Project Leader
Preferences:
Experience in healthcare IT (provider, insurer, third-party, claims processing, other healthcare) desirable but not mandatory
Experience with the following technologies is desirable: Team Foundation Server, .net 3.5/4.0, WF, WCF, WPF, N -tier, SOAP, Agile, SharePoint 2007, Ajax
