Business Analyst – Point of Sale

The Business Analyst will be responsible for managing requirements during the entire lifecycle of the project. The Business Analyst will have a critical role in aligning the project team with stakeholders and other project teams. This individual should have a background in the retail industry and will work primarily with point of sale and digital solutions. This position can be either contract to hire or direct hire and is located in Louisville.

Responsibilities Include:
Participate in the full lifecycle of Web software development – analysis, design, documentation, execution and testing.
Lead business process redesign and assist in implementing solutions. This includes setting priorities and preparing user stories, functional flow diagrams/maps and other documents to capture departmental standards, processes and methodologies
Works on multiple projects concurrently, involving some resource assignments, coordination of efforts, and individual contributor task monitoring.
Consult with departments, such as operations, engineering, marketing and HR, to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting and security requirements.
Assist the Quality Assurance teams in the creation of Test Scripts (automated, manual), generally executed by the Quality Assurance engineers.
Act as liaison between BA, Dev and QA Teams.
Prepare/maintain documentation on all aspects of our projects to support knowledge transfer to other team members
Provides expert system knowledge in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Reviews Design work to ensure adherence to Software Development Methodology standards.
Keeps current on requirement management techniques and relevant technology developments.
High degree of interface with external partners with minimal supervision.

Requirements:
Strong Business Analyst background
Experience working with cloud and SaaS vendors, specifically with Point of Sale
Agile experience is a must
Ability to define and document requirements for new or modified business systems
Retail industry experience
