This position is a direct hire role with a Financial Services Firm. The ETL Developer/Analyst will develop and deploy PostgreSQL and SQL Server ETL processes. The ETL Developer/Analyst will provide technical support, consultation and oversight for all SQL systems related to production applications. This includes a variety of complex administrative and technical work in managing databases, data dictionaries, troubleshooting, and system management. This individual will travel to client locations and have good communication and customer facing skills. Travel will be around 50% of the time.
Responsibilities Include:
Design, build, maintain and monitor ETL processes using Datawatch Monarch
Assist in design, programming, troubleshooting and management of problems affecting database applications, as well as developing the area for future expansion
Interact with customers to gather requirements and translate business requirements into technical requirements
Complete ad-hoc reporting, data upload and data migration requests for customers
Document existing, new and future ETL packages and processes
Batch file (.bat) debugging
Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
Test system enhancements to ensure business requirements are met
Perform and track all data adjustment requests while ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures
Maintain customer focus; increase customer satisfaction
Requirements:
2+ years of SQL experience
2+ years of ETL experience
SQL Server Reporting Services
Systems lifecycle experience with analysis, design, and development knowledge
Expertise in .bat file scripting
Familiarity with FTP, SFTP and PGP encryption
Expertise with Microsoft Excel
