Senior Applications Architect

The Senior Applications Architect will lead the company-wide initiative to revise an internal EMR application. This individual will be responsible for selling top executives on the need for this revision in order to secure funding as well as leading the process once approved. The Senior Application Architect should have a background in medical application development. The Applications Architect will design and develop enterprise IT (integrated process, applications, data and technology) architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Applications Architect will work with senior leadership to develop strategic road maps for applications, align development plans, to ensure effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure. This role will also monitor technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements.

Serve as (Product, Services, Solutions) group Senior Architect.
Be viewed as a thought leader inside the organization advancing IT strategy.
Continuously develop professional/technical knowledge that will be useful in current position and/or career aspirations.
Responsible for leading the design and support of enterprise-wide architecture for applications and infrastructure, championing a strategy which ensures consistent enterprise architecture across diverse technologies.
Defines strategies that drive standards, policies and procedures for the enterprise.
Researches new technology and remains abreast of current and emerging trends which can evolve the organization’s enterprise technical infrastructure. Utilize this knowledge to provide increased technical abilities, higher quality, and increased services to the business.
Stay up-to-date on business initiatives and objectives, particularly as these relate to infrastructure and development architecture issues.
Works with enterprise wide business and IT senior management to understand and prioritize data and information requirements.
Assists IT senior management in defining organizational goals and strategic plans.
Create architectural frameworks and provide enterprise architectural oversight for development of new or enhanced products and services.
Define enterprise system, technical, and application architectures and recommends a course of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness.

Requirements:
12+ years technology leadership experience expected
Experience in a healthcare technology leadership role responsible for the design and support of enterprise-wide technology architecture solutions across diverse technologies
Extensive experience developing strategic technology architecture plans, and implementing technology architecture solutions
Background in medical application development
Able to develop technology road maps for the division/department that aligns with business strategy and technical enterprise standards.
Ability to work effectively with senior leadership to advance business initiatives through technology
Results-oriented, self-directed and motivated with latitude for independent judgment
